Today's and tonight's South Charleston, WV weather forecast, weather conditions and Doppler radar from The Weather Channel and Weather.com. Weather maps provide past, current, and future radar and satellite images for local, Canadian and other North American cities. Network Radar is an easy-to-use network discovering and managing tool for iPhone and iPad that allows you to get detailed information about the devices on your network. Once Network Radar has scanned your network, it lists all found devices.

An address based data packet network capable of high speeds (10/100/1,000Mbs) originally developed for the computer industry that is seeing adoption in the marine industry. Ethernet networks are designed as a star topology. Systems of three or more nodes require a hub, router or switch to facilitate all point to point connections. An NMEA standard for the transfer of NMEA 2000 messages using an Ethernet protocol is being developed that will be called OneNet.

Cable System

There are numerous cabling systems for Ethernet but the ones applicable to Raymarine installations include:

Cat5 w/ RJ45

The standard cable/connector of the computer industry that is very low cost but alternatives such as SeaTalkHS and RayNet are preferred connectors in the marine environment.

SeaTalkHS

Raymarine's first generation Ethernet connector which consisted of putting a waterproof collar around an RJ45 connector.

RayNet

Raymarine's current generation system that replaces the RJ45 connector with a waterproof vibration tolerant twist pin connector that is designed for the marine environment.

WiFi

A wireless system that doesn't use any wires that provides for low cost flexible installations but are not as robust as wired systems. WiFi is ideal for non-mission critical accessory connections.

RayNet to RayNet Cables

The new RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) network cable can be used to daisy-chain 2 adjacent RayNet devices together. It is also useful for joining two adjacent HS-5 Network Switches together on larger systems where multiple switches are necessary. This network cable is 15-inches (400mm) long.

This cable joins our existing line of RayNet interconnect cables available in 400mm, 2, 5, 10 or 20 metre lengths.

The Raynet (F) to RJ45 Ethernet (M) adapter can be used to connect new a, c, e or gS-Series MFDs to the SR6 or 8-Port Seatalk High Speed network switch.

When used in conjunction with a crossover coupler, this adapter can also convert the Ethernet connection on a RJ45 radar scanner cable, DSM or thermal camera for direct-connection to an HS5 network switch, or MFD RayNet port.

Network Radar 2 9 21 12

We are pleased to now offer this cable in 1, 3 or 10-metre lengths.

This has a RayNet Female connector at one end and a RJ45 Female Gland connector at the other end. The Gland makes the RJ45 Female socket watertight.

A typical use for this cable would be to convert a 'RJ45' Digital Radar Cable to a 'RayNet' Radar Cable, so you can connect the cable directly into the new HS-5 Network Switch or directly into the back of an a,c,e or gS Series multifunction display.

RayNet (Male to Female) Right Angle Adaptor - A80262

This 90°, right angle RayNet connector has a RayNet 'Male' one end and RayNet 'Female' the other.

Ideal for the multifunction displays or the RMK-9 keypad to reduce the usual cable bend radius.

RayNet (F) to SThs (F) Socket Adaptor Cable - A80160

The new Raynet (F) to SeaTalkhs (F) cable adapter allows you to fit the existing waterproof, locking SeaTalkhs cables used with G-Series, E-Wide, C-Wide and E-Classic* MFDs to new generation RayNet multifunction displays.

*Note: The E-classic requires a 'crossover' in the SThs data line, so this cable can only be used when connecting to the HS-5 Network Switch.

RayNet (F) to SThs (M) Socket Adaptor Cable - A80276

The new Raynet (F) to SeaTalkhs (M) cable adapter allows you to fit the existing waterproof, locking SeaTalkhs cables used with G-Series, E-Wide, C-Wide and E-Classic* MFDs to new generation RayNet multifunction displays.

*Note: The E-classic requires a 'crossover' in the SThs data line, so this cable can only be used when connecting to the HS-5 Network Switch.

RayNet (M) Pins to SThs (M) Socket Adaptor Cable - A80272

RayNet (M) to SThs (M)

A typical use for this adaptor cable would be to convert the new 'RayNet(F)' Digital Radar cable to the 'SThs (M)' connector, so that it can be plugged directly into the back of a legacy multifunction displays (such as an E-Classic* or C/E-Wide display).

*Note: The E-classic requires a 'crossover' in the SThs data line, so this cable can only be used when connecting to the HS-5 Network Switch via a suitable length RayNet extension cable.

RayNet (M) Pins to RayNet (M) Pins Cable Joiner - A80162

The new RayNet (M) to RayNet (M) Cable Joiner adapter lets you connect two standard RayNet networking cables together in instances where you need to extend the length of a cable run.

The Cable Puller securely attaches to the twist-lock plug on RayNet (F) networking cables and provide a convenient, center-mounted attachment point for your pull string.

The cable puller also protects the connector's internal pins from damage, acts as a fairing to make pulls through tight spaces easier, and prevents crush/bend damage to the cable/connector joint. The cable pullers are reusable, and come in packages of 5 pullers.
